What are the benefits of exercise on your mental and physical wellbeing?
It uses calories for energy which is why it’s SO important you are fuelling your body with nutritionally dense foods. It also reduces tension and anxiety, enhances mood and self-esteem. The release of endorphins induced by exercise is the result of serotonin and adrenaline release, with a small contribution from the brain!

What type of exercise should I be doing and how often?
Remember that you are UNIQUE, which means that you must listen to your body and work out what is right for you. The average “healthy” person can exercise 3-4 times a week to remain fit and healthy. For one person, this may be cardio or weights, another might be Yoga or Pilates. There is no right or wrong answer, but doing a combination of light and more intense activity each week is good for cardiovascular health, muscular strength and mental wellbeing.

What are the benefits of box fitness?
Boxing is an amazing stress buster, confidence builder and strength builder! It enables you to manage your emotions in a healthy way which is releasing endorphins and improving your health at the same time.

Does the thought of a gym scare you?
This is completely understandable, remember all you need is yourself an open space and a mat and some weights as an option. Walking is great, dancing, and generally moving your body will improve your entire wellbeing. You do not need to be at the gym five times a week sweating over a (boring) treadmill to improve health & fitness!

I want to start getting active but I just don’t have the motivation or know how?
Remember, being active can be as simple as walking your dog or skipping around to your favourite song! But for those looking to do regular activity I am happy to talk you through this and show you some simple & effective ways!
